Half Marathon Headspace Fundraiser
Half Marathon Headspace Fundraiser
Story
On October 16th I'm going to be taking part in the 2016 Melbourne Marathon Festival, running in the half marathon, and am hoping to raise much needed funds for headspace charity.
Alarmingly, Suicide is the leading cause of death in young Australians, accounting for one third of all deaths. Many families and friends are impacted every day by someone taking their own life, and this should not continue to recur in the future with the support that is available for teens and adults who are battling with everyday life.
Headspace works to raise awareness and support the Youth of our country who are strugging mentally and are seeking help; they are an organisation who seek to assist 12-25 year olds in conquering the early onset of mental health issues and help those who are currently mentally unstable.
I’m going to be doing my best to complete a gruelling course of 21km through the streets of Melbourne and ending back at the MCG!
I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.
Thank you for your support and helping to make a difference!
